W5500 compatibility

Does anyone know if the w5500 has any issues interfacing with a AT&T router? I have an embedded system that can use DHCP or a static IP at my office, but at my house, DHCP fails. Static IP works fine. I looked at Wireshark, and the DHCP Request times out.

Hi.

Please you check the registration Static IP in DHCP router.

Thank you

I didn’t understand your response. DHCP does work at my house, as I have laptops and tablets that get IP addresses. However, those might be encrypted, which may be part of the problem.

hi,
MAC address is the only registry that may derail a dhcp.
Ensure it is set correctly because in some router a MAC set FF-FF-FF-FF-FF-FF or 00-00-00-00-00-00 can give you this problem.

What does it mean?
You have to figure out if it does not work the discover or the lease phase.
All other net common registry (IP, net mask and gateway ) must be filled at 0 before a discovery.
