Hello! Does WIZnet produce an Ethernet controller with UART inputs, not SPI (such as W5500)? I’m interested in using such a controller and thus avoiding to add an additional controller to make the UART-to-SPI translation, because W5500 has SPI inputs.

First, there is no Ethernet chip with UART inputs.
We are producing Modules that function as Serial to (SPI) to Ethernet, but they do not get enough speed when using optical cable.
To use the PHY for optical communication, it is necessary to use a product which does not have built-in PHY like W3150A.
However, we have not any experience optical communication, and since we do not support it, we can’t give to you a reference about this.
