[Modules] How to testing TCP connections?

To test the TCP connection of the products, you need to install the freeware tool to use on the PC.
Tool called Hercules and is provided by HW group.

Hercules program can test communication such as Serial Tab / TCP Client / TCP Server / UDP.

So, from now on after freeware install done, let explain about TCP communication tests.
This test report based on WIZ750SR. If you use the other serial to ethernet devices, It is all same way.

When you use WIZ750SR serial to ethernet, You need to configuration tool.

Now we will use configuration tool and test to hercules program.

TCP Server test way is refer to below list.

1. Execute configuration tool and push to “search icon”.

2. Set to network and operation mode. (TCP Server)

3. After set done, push to “Setting icon” on the configuration tool.

4. Search again on configuration tool.
   

   

5. Execute hercules program. (PC set TCP client)

6. Set TCP client tap and set IP and port.

7. Click to connect button

8. If you connect to serial cable, you can do TCP tests. (refer to below image)

TCP Client test way is refer to below list.

1. Execute configuration tool and push to “search icon”.

2. Set to network and operation mode. (TCP Client)

3. After set done, push to “Setting icon” on the configuration tool.

4. Search again on configuration tool.
   

   

5. Execute hercules program. (PC set TCP Server)

6. Set TCP server tap and set IP and port.

7. Click to listen button

8. If you connect to serial cable, you can do TCP tests. (refer to below image)

TCP Mixed test way is refer to below list.

1. Execute configuration tool and push to “search icon”.

2. Set to network and operation mode. (TCP Mixed)

3. After set done, push to “Setting icon” on the configuration tool.

4. Search again on configuration tool.
   

   

5. Execute hercules program. (PC set TCP Server/Client)

   • TCP mixed mode can operate to TCP Client/Server mode
   • If you use WIZ750SR and TCP client mode, you must send to serial first

6. Set to users want tap and set IP and port.

7. If you connect to serial cable, you can do TCP tests. (refer to below image)

UDP test way is refer to below list.

2. Set to network and operation mode. (UDP)

3. After set done, push to “Setting icon” on the configuration tool.

4. Search again on configuration tool.
   

   

5. Execute hercules program. (PC set UDP)

6. Set to users want tap and set IP and port.

7. Click to listen

8. If you connect to serial cable, you can do TCP tests. (refer to below image)
