[From QnA] WIZ108SR - reconnection bug

Wiz108SR - HW v1.1, FWv2.20
The configuration is that the Wiz108SR is connected to a server running WizVSP. The Wiz108SR is connigured as a TCP client. After the connection is established, and is visible on Wiz_VSP, the Ethernet cable is unplugged. Wiz_VSP is stopped and restarted, the Wiz108SR is no longer visible, confirming that the connection is lost.
The HW_TRIG on the Wiz108SR still indicates that the connection is active even though the eithernet cable is still unplugged. Once the Ethernet cable is plugged in again, the Wiz108SR DOES NOT reestablish the connection to the server.
This issue may well be related to my previous post re HW_TRIG bug. It seems that the wiz108sr does not recognize the loss of connection, and therefor does not raise HW_TRIG and does not attempt to reconnect to re-establish the connection.

Dear customer,

First, after virtual port click, select the Edit Connection > Connection prefs.
Check the Send "Keep alive"every and modify the 2 second.
Try to test again without Wiz108sr EVB.
Thanks,
WIZnet

I have tried it with Keep Alive, and the issue still exists. Except, as noted in my other postes, WIZ_VSP crashes on keep alive with an unhandled exception.
Thanks
