[From QnA] Cannot search WIZ105SR in configuration tool

This post came from QnA of WIZnet website

I am using WIZ105SR board. I connected the board to the PC using the following steps:

  1. connected the RS-232 to the PC serial port.
2, Connected the LAN cable to the PC and the board.
  2. Made /HW_TRIGGER pin High
  3. made /RESET high(pulled up)
  4. Now i powered the board
Now in configuration tool I press the search button but my board does not show there.
    Can you pls help.

Dear customer,

If you fail the ping test, that means your PC cannot connect to wiz105sr. Then you should check network settings such as IP, GW address, subnet mask and so on. And please let us know your test environment serial settings, network settings and other options to analyze your problem.

For example,
If the IP of WIZ105sr is 192.168.1.3, your PC should be registered “192.168.1.xxx” in network setting information.
And you should check your firewall in your PC. If you block the configuration tool already from the firewall, you should unblock the config tool or disable your firewall.
Also, If you operate the virtual machine in your computer, you turn off the virtual machine.
Please let me know how it turns out.

Thanks,
WIZnet

Dear customer,
Thanks for your interest in Wiz105sr.
You try to automatically assigns temporary IP addresses both WIZ105sr and PC on the same network.
If you only allow the PC from DHCP Server, I think that wiz105sr and PC may diff IP address range.
If WIZ105SR has same IP address range, you can search wiz105sr using configuration tool.
thanks,
