Hi,
We’re currently trying to connect a laptop to a Serial Port device using the WIZ1000. I’m currently having issues configuring the adapter. I’ve tried a variety of searches, but so far the device can’t be found by the laptop. Every time we search, the green bar gets to 100% and nothing happens.

How can we find the correct details for the Local IP Address etc? The computer is part of a network, but will be kept offline most of the time.

Thanks for your interest in WIZ1000.

Before searching, please make sure your PC and WIZ1000 are in same LAN.
And then,
first, try ping test.
If you success the ping test, you can communicate with the WIZ1000.

But if you fail the ping test, that means your PC cannot connect to WIZ1000. Then you should check network setting such as IP, GW, subnet and etc.
And please let us know your test environment and result.

I knowabout the ping test, but I don’t know how to find the correct IP settings. How do I check the IP settings for the device?

I’m sorry for answering too late.

  1. WIZ1000 has searching password. The password is ‘wiznet’ and you should type the password.
    Check the password.

  2. If you do not change default setting(e.g. IP, serial), default IP address is 192.168.11.2.
    Try ping test.

  3. Default baud rate is 57600. Try to use serial command.
